Eastbourne has a number of useful amenities in the area, including:
- Swimming Pool (seasonal) This sunny 25m outdoor pool situated on the sea front Marine Parade in Eastbourne Village. There are also a learners and toddler’s pool with shade areas for hot days, and pool heating for the cool ones. Opens 15 November 2008 – 15 March 2009, Noon – 6pm. Ph 562 7582
- Public Library, Rimu Street, Ph (04) 562 8042
- Parks – Bishops Park Playground, Marine Parade features adventure playground (including Toddler safe area), BBQ, public toilets and showers and large playing fields.
- Muritai School Playground, two adventure playgrounds, playing fields, netball courts and volley wall.
- Greenfield Playground – swings, slide and monkey bars close to the beach access off Marine Parade seawall heading to Burdens Gate, or Muritai Road.
- Williams Park, Days Bay – large park and bush area featuring duckpond and bushwalks, Pavillion Café and public toilets
- Public Tennis Courts – Oroua Street, next to San Antonio Church.
- Petrol Station – Sunshine Bay Service Station, Marine Parade, Sunshine Bay
- Postal Services – Rona Bookshop and Gallery, Muritai Road
